POLICE CLEARANCE

We are able to assist with the processing of South African Police Clearance Certificates, whether you are in South Africa or living overseas .

The quoted time frame is dependent on the SAPS work load/backlog. Please contact us for the the latest processing time.

We will require you to send us:

• Your fingerprints
• x2 copies of your ID or passport.
• the country that the PCC will be used in
• marriage certificate if you require your maiden and married surname on the PCC.

We submit the applications in person at the SAPS on a daily basis, follow-up to ensure that the application gets registered on the SAPS system, and collect it on completion. We will then send you a scanned copy so that you can ensure that all the details on the PCC are correct before we send it back to you via courier.

We will also keep you informed every step of the process.

If you live overseas:

You can go to your nearest SA embassy for the fingerprints and copy of your ID. Or in countries such as Australia and New Zealand – you can go to your nearest police station for the fingerprints. Please use your overseas address on the police clearance forms

Costs and processing time:

We offer the most reliable and reasonable police clearance service. The time it takes and costs depends on the process that the certificate has follow once we collect it at the Criminal Record Section at the SAPS as well as the courier to return the documents to you.

The CRC will only do reissues if they made the mistake on the original Police clearance 

Who may apply for the expungement of a criminal record:

A person may apply if:

• 10 Years has lapsed after the date of the conviction for that offence.
• The person has not been convicted of any other offence and sentenced to a period of imprisonment without the option of a fine during those 10 years.
• The person was sentenced to any of the sentences set out in Part II of this Form.

A person will not qualify if:

• He or she was convicted of a sexual offence against a child or a person who is mentally disabled or of an offence, where he or she was found to be unsuitable to work with children.
• His or her name is included in the National Register for Sex Offenders or the National Child Protection Register but may qualify if his or her name has been removed from the National Register for Sex Offenders or the National Child Protection Register.

The process takes +/- 5-6 months:

• we apply for the police clearance with the criminal record
• Then we submit this for the expungement process
• Once we have received confirmation of the expungement – we then apply for the new police clearance without the criminal record.

• nature of the conviction
• 2 sets of fingerprints
• 4 copies of ID and passport
• completed application from that we will send you with the quote
